Luthier Toolkit Privacy Policy
Effective: November 1, 2026
Luthier Toolkit is made by Nerd Alchemy. It has no account, no ads, no analytics and no tracking. We don't collect your personal information, and we don't sell or share it.
What stays on your phone
- Your workshop. Instruments, setup records, truss rod logs, repair tickets, customer details you enter, humidity readings, photos and settings are saved inside the app on your device.
- Microphone. The tuner, intonation and tap-tone tools listen through the microphone while they are open. Sound is analysed on the device and is not recorded or sent anywhere. Tap-tone spectra you choose to save are kept on the device.
- Camera and photos. Photos you take or pick for instruments and tickets are saved inside the app.
- Files you share. Templates, setup sheets and invoices are created on the device and only go where you send them.
Links
Some reference screens link to the sources of their data (for example manufacturers' pages and The Wood Database). Opening a link takes you to that website, which has its own privacy policy.
Permissions
Luthier Toolkit asks for microphone, camera and photo library access only when you use a feature that needs it. You can change these in iPhone Settings.
Children
Luthier Toolkit is a tool for instrument makers and repairers and isn't directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
